There’s a phishing scam targeting Credit Union members throughout the country again.
Members who have been targeted will receive an email from an address that seems legitimate, and will be titled something around finance or invoicing. The email will have a word document attachment, and when clicked on, it will prompt users to download additional files.
This scam is designed to infiltrate members’ computers, monitoring their online interactions and recording personal details with a view to gaining access to personal financial accounts.
Please be vigilant and do not click on attachments on unknown email addresses.
